Below is the itinerary of our vacation in Baguio City. I put some notes in them for some suggestions and information.
DAY 1:
07:00 AM: Departure from Victory Liner Bus Terminal at Cubao, in front of Farmers Plaza
Bus departures are scheduled every hour.
Fare is somewhere between P400 to 450 per person
02:00 PM: Arrival at Victory Liner Bus Terminal in Baguio City and check-in in the hotel
Within or in front of the terminal, there is a booth from Baguio City Tourism (Government) that offers help for tourists in finding a place to stay for their vacation - for free.
Since it was our first time, we inquired and they helped us industriously. They showed us brochures and helped us choose considering our budget. The only money we gave to the driver (part of Baguio Tourism) that took us to the dormitory was for gas.
We had not much regret though since we were satisfied with the place that we got, only that we could have chosen better if instead of immediately look for a place to stay upon arrival in the terminal, since it was still early, we could have left first our things/bags in SM Baguio and from there wander to find a better place. Just in front of SM there are some people offering hotels, dormitory etc. for a much cheaper price.
04:00 PM: SM Baguio / Baguio Cathedral / Session Roads
After some rests in the hotel, wandering the heart of the city is the best next option. These three locations are just near to each other, walking distance.
What we did was to check first the SM Baguio, there is a viewing deck there and some souvenirs shops. This is where I bought my t-shirt, lots of good designs. We chose to just take-out our dinner there and ate in our hotel. Then we off to the Cathedral and walk down the Session road. Then go back in the hotel.
DAY 2:
8:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Botanical Garden / The Mansion / Wright Park / Mines View Park / The Good Shepherd Convent.
Next to Botanical Garden is The Mansion which can be just a walking distance (5-10 minutes). In front of The Mansion is the Wright Park.
Then from Wright Park, you would need to take a cab going to Mines View. The Good Shepherd Convent can also be just a walking distance (10 -15 minutes).
We took our lunch at the Mines View.
01:00 PM: Camp John Hay
Inside the Camp John Hay are the Scout Hill, Eco Trail, Butterfly Sanctuary, and the Historical Core.
Getting there is so easy but going out can be a bit problem, since only few cabs went there and were just there to drop off passengers. So you’d need to wait a little longer time to find a cab. I suggest you just wait in front the Manor house.
03:00 PM: The PMA
The PMA closes at 5PM. The guard requires only an ID for you to pass. From the gate, I think it’s around 400 - 500 meters still away to the main camp. I suggest that you just walk your way going to the camp instead of asking the cab to enter. This is for you to have a picture taking with the big concrete PMA hat and the tanks displayed along the way. Then just ride a jeep or cab going out.
06:00 PM: SM Baguio / Session Roads
Just to have dinner.
DAY 3:
8:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Burnham Park / Lourdes Grotto / Tam-awan Village / Arko ni Apo / Easter Weaving Room
Arko ni Apo is just in front the Tam-awan Village.
12:00 PM: SM Baguio / Session Roads
To have lunch and rest.
2:00 PM: Strawberry Farms
Located at La Trinidad, Benguet. About 30-45 minutes away from the city, in front of Benguet State University.
05:00 PM: SM Baguio / Session Roads
To have dinner and rest.
DAY 4:
8:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM: Baguio Market
Souvenir shopping.
12:00 PM: Check-out from the hotel.
01:00PM: Departure from Victory Liner Bus Terminal in Baguio City
07:00PM: Arrival in Manila
